Reverend Dr Jasmine Gordon has a caring heart for ministry and healing. It is at the core of who she is. She exudes this trait effortlessly in interactions with those she ministers to. Before interacting with her, I was struggling with a separation that made me angry, bitter and resentful. I was broken and hurting deeply.

As I opened up and shared with her what I was dealing with and the depth of the hurt, she listened attentively. She identified with my pain and offered words of comfort and solace from her own experiences but more importantly from scripture. She has been such an inspiration and has helped to speed up the process for me to find healing through forgiveness.

I came to Dr. Jasmine for coaching because the person I wanted to be was not the person I was seeing in my everyday life. I was happy one day and unhappy the next. I did not realize that the thoughts I was feeding myself were causing harm and were not good for my self-esteem. During my lessons, Dr. Jasmine asked me in-depth questions that showed me how negative thoughts held me back from being my best self. We did exercises that took the negative thoughts away from my head and she taught me how to apply the Word of God along with prayers and replace those negative thoughts with positive ones.

I no longer see challenges as a roadblock but as divine pathways leading to my growth in my relationship with God and my purpose. Regarding my experience with Dr. Jasmine, I recommend anyone struggling with a negative mindset that requires spiritual counseling to work with Dr. Jasmine.

Anyone who truly confesses Jesus as Lord and lives the life of a true believer will experience emotional hurt and attacks of the enemy through people – especially in the church. This can really injure the soul of a believer in ways that can really hinder them from being all that God has called them to be in Him, and in the earth for His glory.  Before working with Dr. Jasmine, I was asking the Lord to help me to be totally free from such soul injuries so His Glory can be seen in my life daily.  I needed help in a different way to overcome brokenness in a certain area of my life.  I wanted to be completely whole so I could effectively fulfill God’s purpose for my life.

In working with Dr. Jasmine – The Word of God and the power of Christ is the “center” of our sessions.  Dr. Jasmine is a confidant that you can share your experiences and get a godly answer – based on the Word of God.  Not her opinion or idea.  Her book – “Especially Chosen To Be Broken For Purpose” is a wonderful tool. In the book she shares her own personal hurts and injuries in the church and how God brought her through victoriously and now she is helping people like me.  I always feel refreshed after our sessions.

Even though I am still having sessions with Dr. Jasmine, it has been very beneficial to me – in that I have greater insight in how to stand with patience and the love of God in my heart and allow God to lead and guide me through situations and circumstances that previously injured my soul and really affected me in ways I did not realize. As I utilize the “Survival Kit” (Personal Choice, Prayer, the Word of God, Faith, Trust, Humility, Time, the Whole Armor of God, Hope, Patience, Songs of Praise and Endurance) – that Dr Jasmine discusses in her book to overcome brokenness, I am experiencing a greater strength, healing, and freedom in my soul.

I highly recommend anyone (especially believers) who struggle with church hurt or any other hurt inflicted on your soul to strongly consider working with Dr. Jasmine.  Going to church and listening to anointed ministers is great – keep doing that! However, it is so wonderful to have a one-on-one session and talk to a person like Dr. Jasmine about your experiences, who holds you accountable for working out your own salvation with fear and trembling and know that you will get answers that come straight from the Word of God to help you overcome and heal your injured soul.
